Italian weddings have a reputation for being big and elaborate. This one was no different and in fact, had many personally touches which made for a really special day and event to photograph. With such a lovely and sweet couple to focus my lens on and so many unique elements (especially the red footwear theme), it was easy to capture the emotions of the day, ranging from the seriousness of the catholic service, to the romance and playfulness of the couple, to the fun-filled evening celebrating with family and friends .

A Greek Wedding
The energy and liveliness of this Greek Wedding was unbelievable, starting from the pure enthusiasm of the bride's family during the pre-wedding morning right into the evening. What a brilliant time I had shooting 3 generations of women getting ready and the hustle in the household trying to get the bride to church on time - all elements lending themselves well to my favourite documentary-like way of capturing moments in time.
The reception took place right in downtown Montreal which provided for excellent dynamic architectural backgrounds. Moreover with the energy of the day having already been filled by the vibrancy of surrounding family and friends, it seemed only appropriate to keep with the cinema vérité style of photography while shooting the couple in public.
